Ancestors/ Idlozi's name

I am a spiritual medium who helps people connect with their loved ones who have passed on. As a medium people always ask me what my work entails and I tell them that I don't  see it as a job as such, for me it's a calling.

Which is the reason why I don't call myself a sangoma. Quiet frankly if I were to describe a sangoma, I wouldn't know what to say so I'm only going to stick to what I know best. One thing I know about a sangoma though is that, to become one you have to go through some form of training whereby you leave your home, and go to stay at your trainers'  place for quiet some time. You also have to go through an intensive training which involves some rituals and then in the end you return home as a graduated sangoma.

As a spiritual medium, I didn't go through all of this. There were signs in my life though that I was being aproached by my ancestors to become a healer. I wasn't sure what to do so I consulted with a couple of sangomas, spiritual healers and fortune tellers'. One sangoma confirmed that I had to go through the training like everybodyelse. I was clueless so I agreed but it didn't work out and I left her after spending just 3days at her house. My ancestors came to me and demanded that I go back home, where I belong.

At home I continued to have sleepless nights and strange dreams. It was then that I aproached a fortune teller who offered to pray for me  by the seaside. He said that my ancestors/guides would come through to communicate with me. We went and prayed by the sea but nothing happened. I demanded to go back home. I told him that my ancestors were comfortable to come through if I am at home.

As soon as I entered my house, I started to feel the presence of the spirits all around me.That was my first encounter with the spiritual world and I will never forget the whole experience.It was like my whole body had been taken over by this new world that only existed in the spirit form,which expresses itself through emotional feelings. A world that doesn't have eyes to see but can only feel with emotion even that which the naked eye cannot see. I was overwhelmed with emotions because there were too many feelings to be expressed in just a short space of time. The spirits were coming through and using my body to express themselves. They took turns to enter the body, expressed their bits and exit. It was like they were forming a queue right next to me and the powerfull ones came first and took a long time to express themselves. All the spirits that came through were my blood relatives who had passed on, both from my mothers' and fathers' side.

At that stage in my life I had a lot of problems, nothing was coming right and they came through to let me know what they wanted in order for my life to get the harmony I was seeking. The spirits that came throuh were even people who died a very long time ago. While others had just recently passed. Almost everybody came through, young ,old,  people who died of natural causes and others who were killed. What I noticed was that all of theese spirits brought with them the feelings they had at the time of their death. An example would be of someone who died unexpectedly in an accident who would bring feelings of confusion as to whether they were dead or still alive. This lead me to undertsand that if the soul is snatched away from the body too quickly before it realises that the body is experiencing death, that soul sort of wanders about, still trying to figure out what is happening.

While all of this was happening, I didn' have  a problem with it, I wasn't scared or anything because  I had seen a spiritual medium before and I had an idea of how the spirits communicate. I knew I had some sort of a calling and I had accepted it with no reservations. When that session was complete and the spirits had left I felt so tired and weak. It was around11 at night and I needed to get some sleep because the following day I was working a night shift at a casino ,as a shift manager. I slept until 2pm the following day and when I woke up I was still feeling weak,my knees wobbly. I forced myself and went to work even though my head was feeling a bit light.

Since that experience I had been able to consult with people who want to communicate with their ancestors. People consult when they have unsolved mysteries in their lives. During a consultation a person is able to find out who their guardian spirits are and what it is they can do to embrace the spirit so as to set it free in it's journey back to the Lord. Each and everyone of us has guides who are with us all the time, they guide and protect us. It's important to know who your powerful guides are and also to make the relevant prayers so as to bring about good luck and harmony in one's life. It is also important for me to teach people how to channel their prayers. There is a big misconception that the world of the ancestors does not mix with the religious belief and I find this to be untrue in my line of work. All the guides that have come through in all of my readings have confirmed that when we die we go in search of the light that leads us back to our creator ,The Lord Almighty. They have also stressed that it becomes a problem if you die and carry with you all the burdens of the living world as this seems to hinder your progress in the search of the light. During the time of death we all need to have gotten rid of all the bad feelings, the heartaches and pains of this world so that we don't come back and cause a problem in the lives of our loved ones still remaining behind.

When we die we become ancestors/guides to those who are still living. If one has problems and can't carry on in search of the light one comes back to ask for assistance from those remaining behind. There is always no straight forward communication with the dead, not unless one has special powers. The only way the dead ones can communicate is to disrupt the lives of the living. It is only then that the living realizes that some external/spiritual powers are trying to communicate. When all is well, no one bothers to seek help or to find out about the ancestors and I think the ancestors are aware of this, so when they want to get our attention they do it by creating problems in all aspects of our lives. 

It is at this stage when one decides to consult and communicate with one's ancestors. During the reading one is told that there is an ancestor who is expriencing problems on the "other side" and now is disrupting one's life. They are then advised to do the neccessary prayers and to talk to the ancestors with the aim of setting them free. When the prayers are done and the spirit is released one's life goes back to normal and the spirit becomes happy. The one thing that all the spirits want, at the end of the day is to be given messages and pleas, to take with to the Lord. This has made me realize that it's important to make our prayers to the Lord, but we must not leave out our ancestors/guides/spirits because they are on their way back to our Lord and they are more than happy to take with them our prayers and messages.

I cannot say that Iam "special" or have "special powers" but I do know that my guides like to use my body to help people in need of spiritual help and understanding. During the reading your guides will jump into my body and express their feelings to you. When your life goes back to normal and you start experiencing luck and happiness, I cannot take all the credit. Only my guides know all the tricks to help me help you. I don't want to know what it is that they do to help you or do I want to see how they do it. 


I am only happy to know that your life will go back to normal if you embrace, release and pray for your loved ones who has passed on.
